Tiny Hands~Huge Smiles

As I sit here & write my Baby's 6 month post I find myself having a really, really hard time with it. He is 1/2 of a year old, we are 1/2 way to celebrating his 1st Birthday. I think it makes it that much harder that I am preparing myself for him to be our last, no more babies, I have never felt this. Gone are the sweet little mittens to cover their tiny little hands from scratches, the sweet sweet smell of the newborn baby, the quiet little bird cry for hunger, the teenie tiny little newborn diapers, the sleep in my carrier anywhere you take me, or snuggle right on your chest snooze, the all crunched up little stink bug butt stickin out because they haven't quite realized they have all this room now, swaddling them up like a little burrito, hearing that 1st cry when they make their entrance to the world. Oh how I'm going to miss those days, now we have replaced them with many new & exciting things.
It is truly bitter sweet,
Carter Bug now rolls around like a little rolly polly, he flips over & back quickly. He has learned that if he can get his feet under him he can scoot, thanks Daddy. He is completely amazed at the sight of his hands & feet, he stares at them in, & then eats them, toes included. He is my 1st thumb sucker, if he can't find his paci, he inserts the thumb, good on one hand, no crying for Paci, bad on the other, I can't take away his thumb. I can hear him chomping down on it through the baby monitor. He loves his solids!! When you put him in his high chair he starts panting with excitement, the little boy is hungry & he can GRUB!!! He gets sooo excited when he sees or hears his Daddy! He lights right up when Brad gets home. He is learning that he doesn't have to just sit back & watch it all, he wants to be a part of it. You better include him in meals & bath time & play time. He even goes in the jacuzzi with us all, he kicks back & relaxes, it is pretty cute!! He loves to get on the ground & roll around with his brother & sister, & they love to play with him. Braiden tells him, "Hi, Carter Bug, it's me Broder" So sweet!
Carter Bug Bradley you really are the light of all of our lives!! You know how to make us smile & laugh & enjoy the simple things in life, like hanging out on a blankie on the floor!! You really are an amazingly happy happy baby! You laugh & smile at us all day!! You love it when Mommy dances for you, & when I pretend tickle you, you laugh when you see my hand wiggle, I don't even have to touch you!! I love you to the moon and back my sweet little baby boy!! You have made our family feel complete, I can't imagine feeling any happier than I am with you & your crazy Daddy, brother & sister!!

Your Doc said you are a little under weight, I had to chuckle, but he explained that for your height you could gain some weight! WoW! We affectionately call you Hank N Tank, cause you are rock solid my boy!!

Good Day!!

So, it is almost 8:00 and ALL 3 kids are still sleeping, Shhhhhhh don't jinx it :) It's going to be a good day!! Today, Carter is 6 months old, & it is Kristie's birthday, she turns __ today, I better not say, she might hurt me!! Happy Birthday Ms. Kristie!! Carter's 6 month post will come on Monday after the Dr so I can let you know how BIG he is getting!!!

Play Time

These kids have days were they really play soooo good together!! They go outside or into their playroom & entertain each other for quite some time. I have realized from past experiences that when they get "quiet" there is need for concern. When I don't hear loud laughing & screaming, but I do hear a lot of Alexee hushing because she knows they have done something wrong, it is time to peak in & see what I find them up to. Like the time I caught them washing their hands in the toilet, Alexee said not to worry because they were using soap, the entire toilet bowl was filled with bubbles :) The other day I snuck in the playroom, because on this day Mommy wasn't allowed in there, so I peeked my head in & found Braiden wearing this lovely outfit, He had a leash on & Alexee said he was her puppy, when I asked his name he said "Cha Cha", every time he gets in play mode now he is Cha cha!! Pretty silly!! That little boy has an imagination the size of the sky! He is always coming up with something new!! I thought Alexee could imagine things up, my oh my Braiden Boo takes the cake on this one.

Those of you that know me know instead of shortening my kids names for nicknames, I make them longer, I just always have, silly I know. So, Alexee is my Little Lexee Bear, or Lexee Loo, Braiden is Braiden Boo, & Carter of course is Carter Bug! I think Braiden thinks this is Carter's actual name :) Too funny. Well, last night in the jacuzzi Braiden informed me I can't call him Braiden Boo anymore, because Boo is naughty!! "No no mommy, that's naughty to say Boo" I guess I'll have to come up with a new one for him :)

We can't forget about our Little Bug, he wants to play too!!

March In A Nut Shell

Time just flies by way too fast!! Where did March go? Now April is 1/2 over!! We had a very eventful March, I have been meaning to post all the fun things we did, but I never get to it, so I'll just wrap it all up with one quickie!!
At the beginning of the month we took our trailer to the Nascar race!! We went with a big group of people & had a BLAST!! The kids love the races & it was some nice family time!! We all have a racer so it makes it fun for all of us to cheer them on! The kids get way into it!! They like Kahne & Dale Jr because that is who Daddy likes!! I'm a loner all on my own with Bobby Labonte, as you can see he is even persuading Carter to be a Kahne fan :) Everyone likes to watch the race from on top of the trailers, which scares the CRAP out of me but of course the kids love it!! It was a weekend full of racin & playin!!

Alexee asked her Daddy to please not shoot the Easter Bunny, he said he wouldn't & she said what if you shoot a bunny & you don't know it's the Easter Bunny, he explained that the Easter Bunny is big like us so he'll know if it's her. What do ya say about NOT SHOOTING BUNNIES AT ALL!!!!! They hunted eggs here & at my Mom's, they can't wait for Easter next year!!

At the end of the month we took Alexee & Braiden to the Monster Trucks, Carter Bug was just a little too small so he had some quality Grammie time!! They couldn't wait to go to the show, it's all they talked about!! We got there early & Tail Gated & went & saw all the BIG TRUCKS!! They got to race on little Minnie Trucks & then they sat in a Rock Crawler!! A girl climbs competitions with this INSANE jeep, Alexee has decided she wants to do this when she is bigger, you go girl!!

Junk Food Junksters!!

Last Tuesday Bradley had to go out of town for a couple of days, of course the kids, especially Alexee, were devastated without their favorite :) I remember growing up LOVING when my Dad would go out of town, sorry Dad!! My Mom just always made it a lot of fun when he was gone. So, I decided I needed to try to make it fun for the kids while Brad was gone.

1st we went to Albertson's & I told them it was strictly a "Junk Food" run! We got Starbuck's & doughnuts & brownies & cookies, the kids kept asking & I just kept saying Yep! They loved it!! We have been trying to eat better, so the entire time I kept muttering how bad we were being & how much trouble we were going to get into.
Alexee looked up at me & said, "Mom I don't want to get anymore junk food because I don't want to get in trouble, the police mens will get us." I of course couldn't stop laughing, because I use the Police Mens to my advantage, when they want to do something "bad" I tell them we can't because the police men will get us!! Too funny!!
They really do listen!!

We're Carter Addicts!!

My Sweet Sweet Carter Bug
I can't believe that my sweet little baby is already 5 months old!! I am over a week late in posting this, so really he is turning the curve towards 6 months WAY TOO FAST!!

There are so many things to say about our sweet little, well maybe not little, baby boy :)
He is truly an amazingly happy little one, seriously I didn't know a baby could be so happy!! His smile is from ear to ear, and he wears it all day!! His laugh is truly contagious, and he spends most of the time making the entire family laugh!! Alexee has started dancing for him, she sings a song about Carter shakin his bootie & dances all around him, & he laughs so hard his stomach must hurt!! He is my first little baby with a dimple, not 2, just one sweeet dimple that pokes out every once in awhile! You don't get to see it with every smile, nope, because his cheeks are to chubby, but if you really get him smiling big you will find it!! I love it!

He is such an EASY baby, I am worried I am going to jinx something saying it, but he truly is really easy!! Braiden was such a HARD baby I was soooo scared to have another, but Carter is an angel!!

He recently has started sleeping through the night, from about 7-7, 12 solid hours! I have never had a baby sleep so good, Braiden still woke for a bottle at a year old, so this I am enjoying!! He rolls onto his tummy & has decided this is his favorite way to sleep, I gave up on flipping him over, it is a lost cause, he is a tummy sleeper.

He started rolling from belly to back on 2-6-08, and from back to belly on 2-18-08 trying to get his paci!! He is a paci ADDICT!!! At 4 months old he was 16lbs 12oz, & 27" long, I need to weigh him @ 5 months still!!

I am enjoying this little boy more than I ever thought possible!! I was so nervous with Alexee as a 1st time mom, Braiden was soooo hard, so I am cherishing every sweet little moment with my oh so special Carter Bug!! He really is special little boy! We are all addicted to him!!!
