It seemed like it took awhile for our little Braiden to get the hang of this whole talking thing. Alexee's 1st word was Dada was I was determined for Braiden to say Mama 1st. So in the beginning that is pretty much all I said to him over & over, you could say I even brain washed the poor baby. Boy did it ever backfire, for about 6 months or so that is all the little boy said, milk was mama, bedtime was mama, anything and everything he looked at or wanted was mama!! Then for awhile he really didn't have much to say, but now you better look out because these last few months he has exploded with a giant vocabulary!!! And when he is talking you better listen because you have to repeat what he says so he knows you're paying attention!
Some of my favorite things our little Braiden Boo loves to say are, "So Much" everything is so much, ho loves you so much, he wants this so much, the other day when I left Mom & Dad's he wanted his Grandpa so much!! Lately his Daddy works, so much! It is pretty darn cute!!
His other favorite is "Silly HEad" everyone is a silly head. After you do something he'll say, "Mommy, you silly head" I couldn't figure out where he got it from, but then when I started paying attention I call the kids silly A LOT, he just added the "Head".
He also loves to snuggle, he wraps both arms around you and squeezes you in soooo tight. The other night I told Brad I'll never need any sleep aids with Braiden around, his snuggles can knock me right out!! One day during, snuggle time, he pulled away & said "Mommy, no more squeezin, and rolled over & went to sleep. I thought he snuggled for him to fall asleep, but maybe he does it for me, I do love that snugglin stuff!! One year when Brad was hunting I was staying with Stacey & I couldn't sleep, I am addicted to that contact, so I asked her to "Spoon" me so I could fall asleep (I don't remember if she did or not :)
Anyways, back to Babblin Braiden, the one new thing we could maybe do without is the "Weiner" conversation. He is so curious about weiners & bum bums (that's what you have if you don't have a weiner around here) he asks if everyone has a weiner or bum, bum. It is okay when we are here at home, but Target's ladies restroom, not my favorite place to have the Weiner talk. Here is a little of how it goes, Sissy on the "To-To" peein, Braiden "Mommy, Sissy no weiner, sissy have bum, bum."
Me, "Yes Braiden, SHHHHHH"
Braiden, "Mommy, me have a weiner"
Me, "Yes Braiden, shhhhh"
Braiden, "Daddy have a weiner too"
Me, "Yep, now please shhhhhh"
Well, on he went through about everyone in the family, Uncle Paul, Uncle Dave, Grandpa, everyone he could think of with a weiner. No matter how many times we tell him Hurley is a girl, Nope she has a weiner!!
When we were growing up little boys had "Units" and little girls had "Little Bums" I still don't know where my Mom came up with Unit! Too Funny!!
We sure do love that little boy & all the joy & laughter he brings to this house!! He is SUCH AN EASY TODDLER, baby not so much!! I love this age!! And I love our sweet little Babblin Braiden Boo!!
Aunt Glor got him those jammies, they are my favorite, I am sad for him to grow out of them :)
Are you kidding me?? I thought our "spooning" was going to stay between us Sissy!! How many times am I going to have to take one for the team?? At least you have your kids to spoon with now...
ReplyDeleteBraiden is so darn cute!! I am going to teach him a new song. It goes something like this...
Weiner, weiner, weiner weiner weiner... do you like it??
