New Days Ahead

Oh how very neglected this poor blog is.
Between my photography blog and my frame a day I am blogged out.
But I need to come here more often, this one is for my babies.
I will post more.
So, here you have it, the new days....
all three of my babies are in school this year.
Alexee is in the 3rd grade making us proud as always.
Braiden is in Kindy, he is finding his way and loving school.
Carter is in two day preschool, that is not going quite as well, he is struggling being away from his mama, so needless to say I have spent a lot of time in his class helping him adjust.

Time is flying by and we are just trying to embrace every minute of it.

Love Bugs

My friend got some ladybugs for the kids to release in the backyard.
I had no idea you could even do such a thing, it will surely be an event we remember every spring from here on out though because they loved it.
Alexee and Carter couldn't get enough of the little guys crawling all over them, Braiden....not so much.
He liked watching them fly away, he said they felt "funny" when they were on him.
They were telling us all kinds of ladybug facts I didn't even know they knew during the release!

The Boy Who Stole My Heart

I haven't done pictures of my sweet little boy for awhile.
He wasn't feeling up to it until I informed him if he let me take his picture I would do his chores for that day. Ha, bribery will get you everywhere.
It was so so worth it because I love how they all turned out.
He starts out being all serious, but as you can see that doesn't last long with this one.

My sweet little boy, I can't believe he's already 5......
he is my most sensitive
he is my l.o.u.d.es.t.
he is often in a silly mood
he hates mornings, he wakes up grumpy most of the time
he is really starting to enjoy school
he tells me one of the girls in his class is his girlfriend

Then looks over at me and says,
"but you should just stay in here, don't go out there."

This poor blogged has been like the red headed step child...
trying to maintain three is just, well, a lot!!

Okay, Okay on to the out of mouths post.....
The other day we were driving the kids to school and Carter was counting for us....
after the number 10, he said "eleventeen"

These little innocent moments I will miss so much, I love this age.
Their innocence is one of my favorite things.

Sweet and Feisty

Little Bug got in big trouble the other night for beating on Braiden.
This little boy, he is so so sweet, or so so mean.
There is no in between, and when he is being mean...you better look out.
He was scolded and sent to stand in the corner, after a couple of minutes he hadn't made a sound so I went to tell him he could come out of the corner, but he wasn't there.
After searching around for him, we found him in his bed....sound asleep.
My sweet~feisty little boy, sleeping like an angel.

Five.Little.Words.

My little boys are so so sick.
It is so hard as a parent to sit and watch them hurting and not be able to fix it.
It is also so scary when their fevers are so high that their little bodies are just lethargic.
Braiden has double ear infections, double pink eye and bronchitis bordering pneumonia.
Carter has one ear infection, double pink eye and bronchitis.
I know right, stay far far away from us!!
Yesterday was quite a day, with both boys feeling so sick, and all the other mommy chores I was feeling a little overwhelmed.
In the middle of the night Carter's fever spiked, so as we were laying in my bed waiting for the Motrin to kick in, he was drinking some gatorade and I was rubbing his little back,
out of nowhere he leans in so close that we are forehead to forehead.
Then he says to me,
"Mommy you are the best"

Those 5 words made everything in my world better.

I am one lucky mama.

Wouldn't you know another year has already flown by.
They seem to be going faster.
It is kind of scarey how fast my kids are growing and changing right before my eyes.
This year they will turn 8, 6, and 4.
I love watching them learn and grow but the truth is it is happening a little to fast for me.
So, I am not really one for "New Year's Resolution's" however,
I have made a promise to myself to enjoy my sweets just a little more.
One of things I spend to much time on is this lovely mac.
I do love her, however in a year or two or three, she will be the exact same,
my children will not.
Right now they need me, so I am going to go be needed!
I will come here to update because this is like my online journal of them,
but I will be spending more quality time with them.
This Saturday my little girl and I started the year off right.
We had an afternoon of "girl time"....
shopping, lunch and more shopping, it was a perfect, amazing day.

He was so sick on Christmas Eve.
This boy little guy, when he gets sick it is so hard on him.
I was so sad that he wasn't enjoying the festivities :(

Get ready for a 3 for 1 :)
When the kids yawn I always say...
"Wow, that was a big alligator yawn, you must be tired."
So, the other day Carter does a big, huge yawn...just as I was about to say it, he says.....
"No, mom I'm NOT tired, that was just for the alligators!"
Ha!!
I always tell the kids when they want me to do something,
"Sure. but it's gonna cost ya."
They know this means I get a kiss.
Today I was opening a candy for Carter & he says,
"I know, it's gonna cost me a kiss on the lips."
Then he tells me,
"Mom, you can't eat it because if Mom's eat this they'll explode into a balloon!"

He cracks me up.

He put these over his eyes & told me okay now take my picture with the boobies over my eyes!
I guess that would be a 4 for 1!

I was told my blog needed a happy post :)
So, here it is.
My little girl turned 7 this summer.
We bought the gorgeous dresses & all the accessories, planned the perfect location & set up, then life got in the way & we never did her session.
I kept waiting for the perfect time, the perfect place, the perfect mood, but the truth of the matter is, it's more important to have the memories than the perfection.
So, here it is, it isn't perfect, it is in our front yard, the boys were running around distracting us, the sun was a little too bright....
But you know... every single one of these is perfect to me.
There you have it, my 7 year old girl.....

{Week 40}~ Missing

I try to put into words the Grandma that she was to me.
It is so hard because I am not the best writer, and really you can't imagine how wonderful she was unless you knew her.
She was Grandma, to me & everyone else that ever met her.
She would take in kids from everywhere and anywhere & care for them as if they were her own.
Every memory I have of her brings me pure joy.
Sunday morning pancakes at her house, she would make everything from scratch, the buttermilk pancakes, the syrup, and all of us would cram into her house & you could see the happiness all over her face.
Her love for babies, I will never forget when we walked over to tell her we were pregnant with Alexee, her whole face lit up.... she looked over at us & said, "You know a baby just rights the world."
I am so so happy all of my kids were able to meet her.
She would get down on the ground & play trucks, and farm animals, and love them & feed them. The entire time her face was full of love and happiness.
Her family was everything.
Nothing else mattered.
I am so glad we had her, but it hurts so much that she is no longer with us.
Grief is funny, one moment I think I'm okay & then in an instant it can knock the wind out of me & hurt so bad it's hard to breathe.

I miss you Grandma......today and everyday.
We said goodbye to you today, it is so unfair. You always said don't stand at your graveside & cry, but we were, and wouldn't you know it the clouds & thunder rolled in, the rain was going to follow, so we had to cut it short due to a storm....was that you?
I know you are looking down on us because I find pennies everywhere, I love you.xoxo

This little Carter Bug has been FULL of it lately, I mean really full of it!!
He has stepped up with his comedy & crazy out of nowhere comments, look out big brother B, you've got some competition in the funny department.
The other day he wanted something from me, he was getting really frustrated that I wasn't immediately getting what he wanted....so I tell him in a nice, calm voice to please have some patience & Mommy will get it.
He replies, angry & serious as ever,
"No, I don't want to have some patience cause I HATE patience."
I laughed & thought to myself.... "like father like son"!!

I feel like the weekly pictures have taken over my blog.
However I can.not stop because....
I am not a quitter, well maybe that 1 time when I quit cross country track, okay I guess I have quit a job or two, but not anymore, no quitting here.

Seriously she is amazing, she has raised 6 kids, & now is a Grandma to 9....that alone is enough to make someone CrAzY, but not her, she is still there whenever we need her!! I can barely keep track of my 3 & my Mom did it {making it look easy} with 2x the kids! She is the Mom I always hope I will be, supportive, caring, loving, ....she really is & always has been 1 of my best friends!

{Week 36}~ Just Us

Over the summer we took an amazing vacation with a ton of Aunts, Uncles & Cousins! We rented a cabin in Idaho for a week!
We floated down rivers, tubed on the boat, vegged on the lake beach, went to Bear World, and Yellowstone & had a ton of fun!!!
I was sadly recovering from an ankle injury & feeling a little under the weather so I did not take hardly any pictures :( I am bummed.
Thanks to Uncle Josh we at least got a family picture at Yellowstone....

{Week 29}~ Birthday Girl

I can not believe she is 7.
Where oh where have all these years gone.
We celebrated the big 7 at our Utah property with Aunts, Uncles & Grandparents!!
She had a fabulous birthday!!
Her is the big girl blowing out her candles....

Things I absolutely LOVE about 7....
She is so big, we can have REAL conversations about big stuff.
She is such a big helper with her brothers!
She pretty much can do everything all.by.herself.
She still belly laughs with me.
She is still sweeter than ever!
She is so aware of everything, she reminds me of things :)
She is reading to me now.
There are so many more, but these are what came to mind!
Things that are so hard about her being 7......
She pretty much can do everything all.by.herself, she rarely needs me anymore :(
She is losing the childhood innocence!
She gets really shy & insecure, hence the lose of the innocence.
She worries way too much.
She is aware of everything, makes having an adult conversation hard!
We love you sweet girl! Thank you for being such an amazing daughter & friend!!!

{Week 28}~ The Munchkins & Me

We were in Salt Lake awhile back for a wedding and went to this amazing state park, I so wish we had something like it here!!
We had such an awesome day... I even crawled up into the tree house to catch a picture with my sweets!!

At least 1/2 of us are paying attention to the camera!! My munchkins, they make my life so full & happy!!!

{Week 27}~ Swimming Little Bug

It's official, our little bug is a fish!!!! At the beginning of the summer he didn't want much to do with the water, however now he doesn't want to get out!
The scar on his forehead is from getting out of the pool all wrapped up & falling, his arms were all tucked in so he couldn't save himself :( Yep, that was another ER trip!
I also absolutely love this kids smile, his big teeth make me smile! The thumb suckin isn't helping the protruding teeth, but he's still addicted!!!

Alexee is a perfect mix of a total Girls Girl & Tom Boy!
Her favorite color is purple.
She loves to fish.
She loves to have her nails done.
She loves dresses & skirts.
She loves to wrestle with the boys.
She loves to have Girl Time.
She loves riding her 4 wheeler.
One minute she can be so girly, then the next minute flip to Tom Boy.
I love it, I get my girls girl, Daddy gets his Tom Boy.
So, one afternoon she was bored, she wanted to play spa.......so we did.
We did facials & massages & had all kinds of fun.
Then she wanted her make up done, like the works, mascara & all,
figuring it's just summer break, and I knew how much she would love it, we went for it.....
mascara and all.....Alexee was thrilled......Daddy not so thrilled.
I was just happy that she was happy!!

{Week 24}~A Little Piece Of Heaven

2 Years ago this August I took my 1st photography class.
I learned so much, but I also met the most wonderful group of girls, who are now my dear friends.
We have kept in touch since that class, it has been amazing.
This summer we decided it was time to meet up.
So, we did just that. Not all the girls were able to attend, but I did get to meet up with the most wonderful girls!!!
We had the weekend of a lifetime, the weekend I will cherish forever.
It was amazing.

{Week 23}~ Cruisin in the pool

I left for a little girl vacation a couple weeks ago.
My baby was NOT a fan of the pool when I left for vacation, he stayed in the little 18" kiddie pool & he was good.
He did NOT want anything to do with floaties, the deep end or swimming.
I returned from this girl trip to see my little bug with a vest on swimming ALL over the pool.

I am sad I missed this big step in my babies life, but so happy he is enjoying the pool!
Hi new thing is to "ride" everything down the beach entry into the pool!

Every year since we have lived here for some reason or another I have not been able to enjoy our pool. Babies, bed rest, pregnant, & just plain busy all took over my summers!
However, this year that is not the case!!
I am taking limited photo sessions, no babies are cookin in the tummy..... so if you are looking for us, we will be in our pool :)

{Week 22} ~ Dare Devil

This little boy started the summer off not going in the deep end, down the slide, off the diving board or jumping off the rock waterfall.......boy have things changed.
Thanks to Daddy he is now brave as can be :)
We parent a little different sometimes... Mommy thought we should leave him alone & let him do it on his own, giving him space & time. Well Daddy thought he needed some encouragement & help to get over his fear.
Turns out.....{this is painful to write} Daddy was right!!
After a couple of nights swimming with Daddy's encouragement & praise & our little boy is a fish.

I'm so very proud of you sweet boy for facing & conquering your fears!!
I think my kids are braver than me :)

{Week 21} ~ Balloon Fun

I brought these balloons home from a photo shoot & the kids had so much fun with them!
They seriously ran around the backyard & played, the tied them to each other & played balloon tag!
It was all fun & games until the balloons untied & started floating away... explain that to a 2 year old.
He was most unhappy!
I got some great shots though!!
This was one of my faves.....

I love that she will actually stop & pose for me, much less work than the boys!!
B's new thing is he puts his hand up & says "can't catch me" while moving hand all around his face & then covering my lens!
And C, well most days I can't catch him :)

Well, maybe not "a baby" but he's my baby.
Although if you ask him, he is NOT Carter baby, he is a BIG boy.
So big in fact that today we have started potty training, we've been playing around, but it's time to get serious :)
Especially since he refuses diapers, remember... he's a big boy.
So, here we go, 2 down 1 to go :)
So far so good :)

Oh, sorry back to the picture.
I was playing with my reflector while the boys were bathing, it ended up being a little bath time photo shoot.
After these captures my heart was pretty full.

{Week 18} ~ Laughter Continued

Alexee has actually started asking me take pictures of her lately, she is after my heart I tell ya.
So, we were being silly chasing the boys around & she asked me to get me camera....love it :)
We were laughing so hard at the way Carter was drinking his milk. He was making silly noises, then he turned around with a milk moustache.

Little girl I love you.
You are so much fun, you are becoming so independent & you really help me with the boys.
I am so proud of you, you have worked so hard on getting A's at school, for the 2nd quarter in a row.
I love it when you say, "Oh snap."
I can't wait for summer when I get to spend all day everyday with you!!!

Yesterday at lunch Carter was talking gross, they think it's hilarious to talk about pee pee & poo poo & they've taught the baby, so I always tell them to quit potty talking.

Well, Braiden looks over at Carter & tells him,
"Quit potty talking at the table Carter."

Carter replies back, "Not potty talking at the table, potty talking at the counter Braiden."

Braiden was totally caught off guard.
Pretty typical for my 2 year old, he is something else :)

{Week 17} ~ Belly Laughter

I don't quite know where week 17 went, but it was here & then all the sudden it was gone just like that. So, here is my catch up for Week #17.

We'll call it Belly Laughter, because that is exactly what's going on here. Most of you probably already know but this is my beautiful little sister Ange, we wanted some girl pictures so we were all taking turns behind the camera & then taking the photos. It was Mom's turn to snap a couple, we made her get up on a chair because the angle is soooo much better coming from above :) Reluctantly she climbed on up, then all the sudden we see some weirdo run up & jump on the rail in front of her & start dancing on her. HiLaRiOuS...... we were falling over, needless to say Mom was shocked, she was the only 1 NOT laughing. She wacked the guy & told him to get away...he didn't take the hint very well :)
Same night...same chair the other little sister got kicked off the chair by security....my stomach hurt from all the laughing!!!!

{Week 14} ~ B's Silly Sniff

We have all been really, really yucky sick, this is quite possible the worst cold/flu bug I can remember in a long time.
Luckily my little golden child didn't get is as bad as I did.
He did get a little fever, the cough & an annoying stuffy nose.
This is his face when he tries to sniff with a stuffed up nose.....it seriously cracks me up......hopefully it'll make you smile too :)

{Week 13}~ Beautiful Flower Girl

Our little princess was a flower girl for the 1st time!!
Brad's little brother got married in Salt Lake & they had all their nieces as the flower girls.
She was so excited.
However, I was a DUD & forgot to get a ton of pictures of the cherished event....am I not supposed to be a photographer? Well, sorry... I failed miserably.
I got a couple, but nothing like I wish I had..... kicking myself in the butt now.
Anyways, on to Week #13.

When we are in the jacuzzi I hate to get my face all wet, so I am constantly wiping it off as the kids splash around.
Well, the other night we were all in there & Braiden was jumping around like a little looney toon, every time my face would get wet with splashes Carter would say "Oh, I will get it"
And the little sweet pea would wipe off the water, with the most serious, sweet face ever.
And because a post is nothing without a picture.....

{Week 11}~ C Being Mad at The Snow

So, we had snow again!!!
It was CrAzY....on Tuesday the 9th it started snowing & it didn't stop, we had white everywhere!!!!!
Duke LOVED it, we were outside watching him chase it & try to catch it falling from the sky! It was all fun & games until Carter started getting mad because he was getting wet, luckily Grandma got the umbrella & saved the day :)

WooHoo, I barely made it, after the Loooooong, CrAzY week I'm surprised I actually did.

I seriously have a hard time telling this one no, but so does my hubby so at least I'm not the only one.
He has just learned at a very young age how to work those big blue eyes & that sweet smile & I melt every.single.time.

if I didn't see it with my very own eyes.
Today little bug took a late nap, normally I would never let him sleep late, because it just isn't worth a crazy.wired.hyper.bouncingoffthewalls.2year old until 10 o'clock at night.....
but, tonight the rule was broken.
So come 8:00 bedtime I was being a lazy Mommy {I was having too much fun surfing the web} so into my bed with a movie the 3 of them went. When Daddy's away it's how we roll, all of us in my bed.
I was on the computer, which the den is in the sitting room off the master, so I kept peeking in.
9:00 Boo down for the count, 9:30 Little Bug IS not in my bed anymore.
I am walking through the house yelling his name, of course I assume, he is getting into something, causing a ruckus, breaking things, torturing the puppy, sneaking food in the pantry....finding trouble, somewhere.
I hear him answering, but I can't find him.....I check his room.....there he was....
he.was.in.HIS.BED.
WoW!
It is now 9:45 & he's out like a light :)
Baby boy getting too big, mean mommy for assuming the worst.
Sometimes, okay a lot of the time, they surprise me.

{Week 5}~ Little Miss A

My little girl has been having some trouble getting her little silly out.
She has always been a worrier......but lately we've hit an all time high.
She worries about everything....every single day.

{Week 4} ~ Something For Me :)

This Little Boy.....

makes me laugh every.single.day.
He's just funny, sometimes he tries to be funny, sometimes he just is.
Today I pick him up from school, it is pouring down rain, so me & Carter are hurrying to the truck.
I look back he is pokeying along, looking down at the ground.
All of the sudden he stops, looks down....then he gets right down face to face with a rock and says....
"Oh, you're a pretty rock, you're coming with me."
That was that, rock went in his pocket & then he was ready to hurry out of the rain.
But then of course Carter had to copy & find some rocks of his own.
By the time we got to the truck we were soaked, but we had some pretty rocks.

{Week 3}~ Snugglin Little C

This little boy is WILD, like hanging from the curtains climbing up the walls WiLd!!!
However, he does have the sweetest side~EVER.
When he is tired, he will snuggle down & let you love & cuddle him.
His favorite spot though is right here, on Daddio's side of the bed, with his FavOrItE cartoon Diego on & his thumb in his mouth, while the other hand twirls the hair.
Love~ it's these moments that give me the patience to deal with the others!!
I always tell Brad I need to invest in A LOT of hair dye, cause the little guys is turning me gray :)

The other morning we were cooking breakfast & he kept trying to go to the stove when I wasn't over there.
So I tell him he needs to stop or he is going to get burned, you know his response.
"Chillax"
Yes, that is what he said, he must have learned that one from his Auntie Ange.
Then today he starts cracking up laughing & says,
"That's Hilarious"

A couple of girls in my photography class did a 52 week photography challenge last year!
I decided to jump on board this year because I am really slacking in the photo department when it comes to my munchkins!
I love doing photography for others, but sadly I have neglected my own stuff in the process!!

Another One Bites The Dust.....

Another tooth has been lost.
Not quite as dramatic as the 1st.
She was in the shower last Monday & was wiggling it, well her hand slipped & she bumped it. When she got out it was barely hanging on, so with a little talking she was brave & let her Daddy pull it right out.

Christmas 4 years ago in Idaho, my little girl. One Christmas she's toddling around eating snow, now she's asking Santa for her 2 front teeth back.

The Knock Out

Our little girl has lost her 1st tooth.
It has been a much anticipated event in our house hold. She couldn't wait to loose a tooth.
Everyone in her class has lost one, all of her friends have lost one, her cousins, yep they've lost one.
She would sit & wiggle & wiggle & wiggle.
Well, the day finally came, but not at all how we anticipated, it was not pretty.
I was inside working & the kids were outside playing last Friday the 4th.
I heard Alexee SCREAMING, now Braiden, he's a screamer, over anything, but Alexee barely even cries when she is hurt, so I knew something was very wrong.
We met in the middle of the yard & she was bleeding out of her mouth, BAD.

The Knock Out....
It involved her, a friend, a slide & a pipe.
Obviously the pipe should not have been involved, it flew back & busted her lip, knocking out her tooth.
Poor little girl though because before it fell out it went through her lip, like poked through the back & made a hole out the front.
She was in so much pain. She was freakin out about the tooth being lost in the sand box. She was so worried the tooth fairy wouldn't come.
I was trying to make her excited about losing her 1st tooth, cheering & dancing & telling her she finally gets to put her name on the missing tooth board at school, but she was like "Mom, stop, this isn't how it was supposed to happen."
So, we sat down & wrote the tooth fairy a note & asked her to please still come, I wrote as she told me what to write, my favorite part is at the end she said,
"Can you please give me some money?"

Love that little girl.

Little Of This & That

So, I'm trying to play catch up, but for now it's just going randomness....
I am soooo behind here, still need to blog the boys' birthday, Halloween, Thanksgiving & a ton more.
Slacker me.
I have to edit the pictures to do the posts, that's the problem here.
I have been editing so many photos for photo shoots my own children are being neglected.
Bad Bad Mommy.
So, for now the this & that's....
I wish my children would sleep through he night, seriously, it's time.
The other night between the 3 munchkins, & the dog I think I was up like 6 times.
Not even kiddin.......

Carter has started signing, it melts my heart, he gets right up in your face, like lips almost touching & sings Twinkle Twinkle, so sweet, however don't be fooled because 2 seconds later he'll pummel Braiden if he doesn't get his way.

Braiden has started loving school again, yeah!!!
His best friend is Joe, & he has a girlfriend, but he can't remember her name!!!
Typical male :)

Alexee is cutting 3 teeth right now, her 2 bottom & 1 6 year molar, her 2 bottom have yet to fall out though, dentist said they may not, she will probably have to have them pulled, something about the way her big kid teeth are coming in, not getting rid of the babies on their way!!!
Last, I will leave you with a picture, the scenery outside our front door is horrible, but the sun flare I captured is amazing!!!
I did it with & without texture, I like the 1 without texture, but the texture hides the ugly.

The other night I was snuggling my sweet little boy to bed.
Carter used to want NOTHING to do with me if "Daddio" was home, but lately he's actually been diggin on him some "Mommio", so I've been able to snuggle & read him stories at bedtime.
It's nice because now we can take turns between the older 2 & the baby :)
To the point....
If little C gets to tired you.better.watch.OUT....he will lash out at you outta nowhere.
The other night that's what happened, he was thrashing & hitting at the air & yelling at me & giving me dirty looks, personally I thought it was kinda cute, so I leaned over & kissed him on his cheek.
Well, he popped up outta bed, frantically wiping the kiss of his cheek, while informing me...
"No, no Mommio kissin Carter, that's UHSGUSTING.?"
Pronounced just like that, like he said uhhhhhsgusting.
What could I do but laugh.

Tuesdays & Thursdays With Carter

It was really hard letting 2 of my kids go off to school, at 1st it was quiet, almost to quiet, but like everything you get used to it. Actually I have actually started enjoying it!! Lex is gone for too long, I wish she did like 4 days of school 3 off, but Braiden's is perfect. 2 Days a week for 3 hours, it has become me & my little Bugs time.
We have Tuesdays & Thursday's with Carter, some 1 on 1 time I have never had with him. We run our errands, he talks me into buying him doughnuts, some days I even eat 1 too :) We run around the front yard enjoying the nice weather. For some reason he prefers the front yard, he says "Flowers, flowers" & runs out front to play.
A had lots of 1 on 1 before B arrived, B gets it everyday when C naps & A is at school, now C gets a little of his own & he has been a different kid lately, I don't now if it's just a Coincey Dink or if it's the alone time, either way I believe the 1 on 1 is important.
Now I just have to find time to squeeze a little more with A in, she likes to have girl time on the weekends :)

C~"No, no poopoo Mommio"

Much To Learn

I am taking a photography class online & it as been amazing!!
I have already learned so much, & there is still so so much to learn.
We have weekly tasks which are fun :)
This week there were 10 items we had to draw from. We were to draw 3 of them & come up with 1 photograph incorporating all 3. I drew Tea, Precious & Handmade.
So after much thought I finally came up with something a little different & ended up pretty happy with the results, It of course helps that I have such a beautiful model to help me out!!!!!

The other night I was snuggling Alexee before bed, she started giggling and giggling, so finally she had to spill what was so funny...
"Mommy, why are your boobies bigger than mine."
I hate these questions...
So I explain to her that when you get bigger and you are a mommy your boobies get bigger.
"Oh, is that so you can feed your babies, so you get bigger boobs for the milk."
Me, thinking great explanation, and we'll leave it at that, so I tell her she is very smart :)
"Well, then some mommies must get A LOT of milk for their babies, because some mommies have big boobs."
I couldn't help but giggle.....
Then she thinks about it for a minute...
"Well, then cows must get big butts because they feed their babies from their butts."
I was rolling at this point.

Bossy Boy

Last night Brad was reading to Carter, he was in his bed & Brad I I were both sitting on the floor.
Well, Carter wants the same book read to him every.single.night.over.and.over.
Rainbow Rob, he chants again and again.
So we of course have said book memorized.
When Brad was reading he wasn't looking at the book, he was saying the words from memory, we were both looking at Carter being so sweet falling asleep, all of a sudden he opens his eyes, pushes Daddy's head around to the book and says,
"No Daddy, readin."
I couldn't stop laughing.
Bossy children.

School Boy

Braiden Boo had his 1st day of school on Tues the 15th!!
This little boy was so so ready for school.
It is all he has talked about lately. So, I was starting to think that maybe he didn't realize that Mommy didn't stay with him at school, because he does, like to be with me, ALL THE TIME!!
On the way to school we were going over the do's and do not's of a big school boy.
Like we don't scream at the top of our lungs, "ME GOTTA GO POOP, MAMMA ME GOTTA GO POOP RIGHT NOW."
We raise are hands and ask the teacher, "Please can I use the restroom."
Alexee & I were schoolin him on school, so I decided now was the time for me tothrow in there that Mommy leaves him at school & he stays there by himself.
He shrugs & says "Yeah, me know Mom."
Truthfully I was waiting for Operation Melt Down, it was just too easy, I'm used to Alexee clinging to my leg SCREAMING, CRYING to the point of vomiting when I dropped her off at preschool, so it just didn't seem right.
I should have known.
Braiden is my Mr Too Cool guy, & that's just how he was.
He hung his backpack, picked a chair, kissed us goodbye, & kicked back playing with the blocks all ready for school.
That is exactly what they said when I picked him up, he did so good, like he's been going to school forever & he just kicked back & fit right in acting all "Cash".
Is that another word for cool??

I posted this on my photography blog, but I also want it here so when I make my book of my blog I have this cuteness in it!!
So, finally I took my little girl to do her 6 year photo shoot, I know I am just 2 months late.
Better late than never, right!!!
So, here is a little sneak peek of our fun evening!!
We laughed & danced & played & ran & sang & found sun flare & changed clothes & used props & had the best photo session EVER!!!!!
I love this little girl.
She decided she might want to be a photographer one day, so at the end of the day she took my pictures, she would tell me, "Mama, smile."

Her~"Yeah, like that."
Her~"Now, tilt your head."
Me~So, I'd tilt.

Rearin & Ready For Preschool

Last week was Braiden's open house for Preschool.
He was soooo excited, there was a little bit of confusion as he thought I was leaving & it was his 1st day of school.
He was totally fine with me leaving him.
Made me a little sad.
We got to see his class & meet his teacher & he was just smiling from ear to ear.
He was supposed to start school yesterday, but due to a nasty ear infection he wasn't able to go, so he 1st day of school will be on Tuesday.
So stay tuned for Braiden's 1st Day of Preschool next week.

It's been awhile since our Out of the Mouths of Babes post....
I just realized they are almost always something my little Braiden Boo has done, so here's another Braidenism........
I was giving him his milk this morning & I told him "it's gonna cost ya", that means Mommy wants a kiss :-)
So, I told him it was gonna cost him & this time I wanted 2 kisses,
he gave me my 2 kisses & I told him I decided I wanted one more kiss,
He looked at me serious as can be & said....
"Mommy me ran out of kisses, me don't have anymore to give you".
Needless to say he got his milk anyway, it is really hard for me to resist this face....

Broken And Another Year Older

All throughout today I have thought I need to sit down at my desk & wish my little sister a Happy Happy Birthday!!
It is her big 3~0!!
I couldn't get a hold of her, so I sent her over a text just so she's know I was thinking about her on her special day.
She replies with, "Today is wonderful, I think I just sprained my other ankle...bad."
Yes, she did, horribly bad, I saw the picture & it put my sprained ankle to shame.
So, long story short it just doesn't feel right wishing her the Happiest Day Ever, because today OBVIOUSLY sucked.
But do know we love you, I am glad you are in your 30's with me, & we will have a do over for your day, because let's face it girlfriend your thunder IS always gettin stolen somehow:)

1st Grader

I am still in a state of shock that my baby girl is in the 1st grade.
We were totally prepared for school this year, unlike last year when my Aunt informed me her school started a week earlier than the public school & I had no uniforms, no supplies, nothing, and her school started in like 4 days. We ran around like chickens with our heads cut off.
So we got uniforms & school supplies & backpacks & had her clothes all picked out ready for the 1st day, it wasn't until we took her to school that I realized how unprepared I was emotionally for this.
She did so good.
She was ready & excited for school, we got up early & got her all ready, then me & the boys took her & we met her Daddy there.

She walked right into her class, found her desk (which she was so excited about because last year they were tables) & sat right down.

She was excited to recognize friends from last year & warmed right up to her teacher.
I walked outside to take over the boys & Brad went in to kiss her, I had to go back in & see her again before I could leave her & I came out eyes full of tears & sniffles.
It hit me out of nowhere.
She will realistically spend more time with her teacher than me.
Her school will have more of an influence on her than me.
I thought I was gonna really lose it so I called in some reinforcements, thank you sissy :) She made me feel so much better, so I wiped my tears & thanked the heavens above I still have my 2 busy boys to take care of.
I miss her, everyday when I drop her off I tell her I will see you at 2:30 & she says, "But Momma that is a long time away."
I respond with, "I know it is."
My baby is a big girl in a big school & she is away all day, but she is getting so so smart & I cherish the time we do have together even more!!

Baby No More.......Part 2

The picture tells all, he is no longer in a crib.
My baby crawled out of his pack & play at a sleep over with Grammie last Saturday.
I put him to bed, went & washed my face & brushed my teeth all the while thinking how easy it was to get him to bed that night, I sighed with happiness, grabbed my book & headed to the couch to read & gossip with my Mom. I turned the corner to find the little bug on my Mom's lap smiling from ear to ear.
I assumed she got him up, only to find out he crawled out himself & ran & found Grammie's lap.
I knew it was only a matter of time before he mastered his crib, little did I know it would be the next day.
He was napping, the house was quite, I heard a weird rattling noise so I went searching..... only to find Carter exiting his room wearing that same smile.
I was too scared if he tried climbing out at night he would get hurt, but I am so not ready to take him out of it yet. So the crib has made it through 3 kids & 6 years of abuse, we pulled the already broken rail right off & ta.da A.Big.Boy.Bed.
Baby No More.........
To add to the sadness of my kids growing up waytoofastformama....
Tomorrow my little girl will start the 1st grade.
Wiping tears away as I type, I will post more on the 1st grader's 1st Day tomorrow.
Wish me luck.
I'm gonna miss her, she will be gone alldaylong.
I just don't feel ready to have a 1st Grader.

Baby No More.......

So, my baby is SO not a baby anymore.
Tuesday night Brad got home from work & told the kids he would take them swimming.
So, he took off Carter's diaper & told him to go get a swim diaper, Carter comes running in with a swim diaper but he keeps saying "To-To Daddy To-To",
so we put him on the To-To, the whole family is watching by this point, he has shown a HUGE interest in the toilet and even pee peed on it a couple times, well not this day, this day my little BABY BOY did the deed on the toilet.
I know right????
So, I am thinking total coincidence, it was just right time, right place.
He decides to prove me wrong & does the exact same thing the following night!!!
Wow, so we all sang & danced & cheered, but he also had to receive a treat for this huge To-To event, however I had completely CLEANED out the candy drawer last week, so he got an Oreo cookie.
He was very pleased,
today I bought a bag of M&M's in case this little boy continues potty training himself.
Baby no more......
This one is the hardest because he is the last, somebody slow it down.
**Also I know I have STUNK at updating lately, but I will try to be more regular.
Summer has been NUTS, school is starting soon so maybe I can get my rhythm back :)

6 Years Old, Really

My little girl turns 6 years old today.
6 years old, really??
It is so bittersweet as always, this year has been so much fun with her birthday, last night I got out her baby album & we went through all the pictures & talked about the day she was born, she had so many questions, it was so incredible to be able to do that with her. However on the other side she is not my baby anymore, actually she isn't even my toddler anymore, she is a.big.girl.
This little girl has been such an amazing blessing to our family.
She has her Daddy wrapped right around her finger, okay, maybe me too :)
She is the most thoughtful, loving, caring sensitive girl.
She is an amazing daughter & friend.
She is also the best big sister theses little boys could have.

We love you little girl, to the moon and back.

California~Part 2

Finally, right :)
So California day 2 we went & got a yummy breakfast & took it down to the beach, so the kids could collect seashells.
It was our little Carter's 1st beach trip & he loved running in the sand, we had to take turns eating & chasing because he would RUN straight for the ocean :)

Then off to Legoland we went!!
1st stop, Face Painting.........

They were so excited to have their faces painted!!!
Then we hit the rides.
They raced cars.....

Rode in trains.......

Flew in helicopters.......

Met all the characters.....

Flirted with the princess....

They even stopped & posed for Mommy a little........

We did almost everything Legoland had to offer for their heights. Braiden was once again bummed because he wasn't tall enough to do all he wanted.
Poor Feller.
Alexee even climbed the rock wall....

We had a fun fun busy busy day & we still had to drive ALL THE WAY HOME, so we hit the road, grabbed some grub at In & Out, & the kids snoozed the whole way home.
