My MaC

I have a date to meet my MAC today at 5:00pm:) I get to test drive her & if I fall in love hopefully she will come home with us! I am too excited! I might have to leave my computer with Apple to move everything over, we are not sure yet! I will let you know as soon as I know!

OuT of the MoUthS of BaBes~TaKe 3

Today while I was getting the kids their snack, I couldn't remember whose cup was whose, you can't mix their cups up or it is WAR. So I was talking out loud to myself trying to remember.

Alexee pipes in, "Mommy, you don't have a very good Membery."
Laughing my butt off quietly I say "Nope, you're right Mommy forgets a lot."
She is right, I don't have a good Membery.
Braiden~ "Sissy, what you talkin bout?"
Alexee~"I'm saying that Mommy doesn't have a good Membery."
Braiden~"What's Membery?"
Alexee~"Oh, it just means Mommy isn't very smart."

There you have it.
Mommy is very forgetful, she has a horrible membery, & now according to my 5 year old, she isn't very smart.

I couldn't hold the laughter in at this point.
I better start Memberying things better so my daughter will think I'm smart!!

Camera Days

So, the camera story begins:
Brad has a great Nikon camera I was really enjoying getting great shots of the kids with. Well, one day said camera fell & broke, I won't say who dropped it:) So, I busted out my little Cannon Powershot, which takes great shots, just not like his Nikon. Then one day, poor Cannon jumped right out of someones hands & fell & broke, I will point the finger on this one, Alexee loves to take pictures & she accidentally dropped it. I was sad. So, I got out my OLD Sony Cybershot & away we went. I am not a big fan of this one. So I was really sad. Well, yesterday My Sweet Loving Thoughtful husband surprised me with my most favorite new camera, for an early birthday gift! It is the Cannon Rebel I have been drooling over:) So, I am a happy girl with a happy camera. Now, I need to stop posting so I can go learn how to use it. Oh, it came just in time, because yesterday the adorable beanie I ordered for Miss Priss arrived, & the camera loved shooting her, almost as much as she loved being photographed:)

Creepy.Slithery.Slimy.Critter.

The other day Alexee came in the house SCREAMING that she saw a snake outside. I hate anything crawly, slithery, crittery, so I looked out the back door & didn't see anything, phew deep breath in. I told her, and I prayed it was true, that maybe she was seeing things, maybe it was a branch or something that "looked" like a snake. She insisited, no there IS a snake, so this time I opened the door, stepped out & sure enough there was a snake on Roxy's dog bed, not just a little gardener snake, nope I'm not that lucky, it was a BIG snake!!! She was flipping out, but my little Braiden wanted to go outside & get it, so I locked all the doors & called husband to come rescue us! He came & caught the snake & took it across the street to the desert & let it go. I guess that's what you get when you decide you don't want to be surrounded by neighbors so you build on a street with no other houses surrounded by the desert. You get creepy. crawly. slithery. slimy. crittery things. Maybe I need to move? You can see Alexee's big ole alligator tears, she did not like Mr. Snake, poor little girl!

All About MiSs ALeXeE

The last 5 years have been so much fun with this little girl. She had a blast on her birthday, I think we actually celebrated it twice:) She wanted to go to Peter Piper Pizza for her birthday so we went there with some friends on Tuesday night, & then hit Cold Stone on the way home, YUM! On her birthday her Aunt Dara & the boys & Ange & Marlee came to celebrate! We swam & ate pizza & sang & played. She got the new bike she has been wanting, a special fairy, clothes & tons of other great things! She also received the most amazing little pettiskirt I have been wanting for her FoReVeR!!! I am way too excited to do her 5 year old pictures with my sister Lesley , & her in this hot pink skirt!! I will post them here as soon as we do the shoot!!! Thanks everyone for making her birthday so special! I think she had a great day! I have posted a few of my favorite's of her growing up, I finally had to stop myself so I don't bore all of you. Once I started I couldn't choose which ones:)

She...is...5

I can not believe it is already time to write this post. My little girl, my 1st born sweet, sweet baby girl turned 5 years old today. 5 is just soooo big to me. It means so much, so many things she has grown out of and so many new things ahead: she will start school this year, a Kindergartner, she will be old enough to finally play soccer, she is no longer a "baby" actually at 5 she is probably not even considered a "toddler" anymore, she grew out of the baby section in stores, now her clothes can be found in the "big" girl section.. She is just so big.

She.... is....5.

I am having a really really hard time with her being 5. I know it is silly, but it is true. It is weird to think in a couple of months I will be away from her 5 days a week, everyday she will leave and go to school and I will be home with the boys. Weird.

She is 5.

I think if I keep saying it, writing it, it will sink in, because right now it has not. I may have even shed a few tears today, because my only little girl is 5.

On the happier side of 5, she is an amazing little helper to me. She always helps out with her little brothers. Some kids dread when they are asked to help, not my Alexee, her favorite response is always "Sure Mommy I can do that for you." She is a truly amazing little girl. She helps me cook, clean, do the laundry, anthing asked of her. She is my little memory, I am a "little" forgetful, so she is always reminding me of things:) She is so so gentle and kind, such a little mothering nurturer. She is very very passionate, if that is the right word for it. Those of you that know her, know what I mean. She is a little young to say O.C.D, so we will call it passionate. She can be such a tom boy, she loves to go hunting and fishing with her Daddy, but she is also such a girls girl, loving anything girly. Her favorite outfit is a dress, favorite color is of course pink, her favorite show is Dora, favorite lovey is her purple blankie, she loves lip gloss, dangly earrings, girl time, when her Daddy is home, play dates, school, learning about Jesus, singing, dancing, playing in the sand box, swimming, camping, staying in a hotel, the little girl just loves to go and do.

I remember last year on 4th of July after the firework show she looked at us and said, "This is the best Birthday ever" she thought the show was all for her. That's my girl, yep we'd light up the sky for you:) She changed my life forever, the last 5 years couldn't have been any better!

I love love love you my little peaches and cream!! I miss you when we're apart, and I love every minute I get to spend with you!!

Me.... Procrastinator?

So, Brad & I have been debating for a while now on Potty Training Braiden. My side~he is not ready, Brad's side~ he is.

Turns out Brad was right, a rare occasion in this house:)

My little boy Boo is potty trained. I think I was procrastinating it because I was not ready. Let's face it, it is a LOT of work, all the accidents, leaving the house with the fear of him peeing in the middle of a store, whew, it's a little scary.

Not this little boy, he made it sooooo easy. I never knew it could be so simple.
On June 9th I decided to bite the bullet, we have been playing around with it for months, but I always keep a pull up on him, that way if there is an accident, no mess. Well, because of this I procrastinated actually putting him on the toilet "Faithfully". On Mondaythe 9th, Mommy & Braiden had the "Big Boy" talk. He is IN LOVE with his cousin Jonas, who is 5. So I explained that "Jonas doesn't wear diapers, he goes Potty on the to-to & wears big boy boxers". DONE, he wouldn't think of wearing anything diaper again. I have to put the "Night Time" pull up on most of the time after he is asleep because "Jonas doesn't wear those." It backfired just a little!
But, on the other side, I can probably count the accidents we have had on my fingers, he is doing so good!! He rarely even has an accident now & I don't hardly have to even remind him to go. He holds it till the last possible second & then takes off running screaming "me have to go pee pee!!!"
In the beginning I was putting him on it about every 1/2 of an hour if he did our didn't have to go, after about a week, he got it!!! He does it all by himself!! He doesn't even want me to wipe him, of course I do, but he argued for awhile the first time I needed to wipe for the #2 (there is no pretty way to say it) Because he explained to me that "Daddy said boys DON"T wipe" I had a fun time trying to explain that Daddy meant when you pee, not p--p!!

We Came. We Saw. We Went

Cabo San Lucas, Came...Saw...Went...

Brad & I decided it was time for a "couples" vacation, we think this every year, but every year I chicken out on actually booking it!! Thinking you need a vacation, & actually leaving are 2 totally different things. But after much procrastinating, putting it off because the fear of leaving was too scarey, we finally booked our trip! I am so crazy I couldn't even write I was leaving on here for fear that some crazy would see we weren't here with our kids & track them down, they're pretty cute ya know! That was just one of the crazy things I worried about with leaving. I worried & worried, I lost way to much sleep & had a stomach ache for days, but we did it, we took a vacation!! Grandma Terry, Aunt Becca & Uncle Paul all came out to take care of the munchkins. One adult per child, perfect. I think sometimes the kids actually enjoyed us being gone, they were spoiled, spoiled, spoiled:) Thank you Grandma, Paul & Becca!!

So, we left with another couple on Friday June 27th for Cabo San Lucas. We stayed until Tuesday July 1st. We had a blast!!

We scored the nicest room ever, with a view of the ocean & pool right outside the door, who could ask for more, right!! We did a little bit of everything!! We rented Sea Doos & speed around the ocean, well Brad speed, I SCREAMED for my life! I thought he was going to dump me off the back for the sharks to eat! We golfed on a lovely, STINKY golf course! Brad called & got prices & there was one course that was A LOT cheaper than the others, we should have known!! The city sewer plant is on the course, & they DO NOT clean the water for their water features around the course! Need I say more, the picture says it all!! We needed a lot of Pacifico's to get through the course!

We had a fun night out on the town, we went to the Giggling Marlin & Squid Roe! I look like a witch:)

We got our 1st couples massage, Brad's 1st massage ever, he had a he/she fiesty, I believe German lady, he said he could get her to laugh, I don't think he ever did:)
We swam, Brad Scuba Dived with all kinds of lovely sea creatures, I chose to hang out at the spa again, rough day:)

We were soooo excited to get home to the kids, the excitement on the way home was CRAZY! So we did it, we left the kids & had an amazing vacation!!

I'm BaCk!!!

So, for those of you that wonder, yes I am still here. We have been here & there at it seems like everywhere! We just returned from Cabo, jumped in the truck to head to Utah for the 4th, but we are back now & I'm ready to blog!!
The only minor set back is my computer is a POS!! I am out of memory, to many pictures I guess:) So, I am anxiously awaiting a MAC so I can be in picture computer Heaven! I can't download anymore pictures, so what fun is a post without a picture? Not very much!
I will get it figured out though, because I don't know when my precious little computer will actually be mine:)
I will sneak some more pictures on here, & post all about Cabo, the 4th, & about those sweet little cuties soon:) I have to get the pictures on here, because our room in Cabo was AmAzInG!! We some how were lucky enough to get upgraded to a Suite, & it was wonderful!! I will be back soon to post all about it!
